Our Mission

Illumination Youth Dance Company is a contemporary dance company featuring young dancers from all over Clark County, Washington.  Our mission is to assist the youth in being proactive in our community through utilizing and magnifying their talents to raise scholarship funds for qualified recipients seeking performing arts education in Clark County.  Illumination Youth Dance Company (IDC) was created by Swell Events.

Swell Events is a 501c3 public charity that has a two-fold mission to raise funds for performing arts in Clark County and to provide a venue for students to perform in our community.

IDC began in April 2011 and presented our first performance with 30+ dancers.  Since then, we have more than doubled in size, becoming an organization that is reaching new heights with each season and affecting the lives of these young performers in immense ways.
